If you have the Pact Supply Network Agent mastery make sure you visit all 6 Agents everyday. For 5 250 karma each vendor will sell you a Pact Scout's Mapping Materials; you want to buy and stock them in your bank until you want to use them. The location of the Agents change each day at server reset , you can visit this wiki page to know the current location of each vendor. Alternatively you can use the excellent gw2timer.com to find the Agents.
Visit the wiki map bonus reward page and see the different tables. This page serves to identify the map with the most valuable map bonus for the current cycle week. Be sure to click on the tiny '' show '' link beside the names of the map to reveal what are the current rewards on the map.
Now , be sure to visit the Bartender in your guild hall and get the Map Bonus reward buff if your guild has the upgrade. Choose the map with the most valuable rewards or the map of your choice if you are seeking a particular material. Do 1 events or 2 on this map if you wish and then use the pact scout's mapping materials you previously purchased at the Pact Vendor Agents. This will advance you in the map bonus reward track and get the rewards right away instead of spending an hour doing events. Be careful to not waste your pact scout's mapping material .. it seems that the Diminishing returns kicks in after 10 rewards but this needs to be verified.
